This past week was short, it was a four day school week with one day being the PSAT day and the other being the professional symposium. The days leading up to the professional symposium I was extremely nervous as I have never attended an event like this and I did not want to make a bad first impression while I am at the event. During the professional symposium I was able to network with professionals that were in the field of business and those who were not, from this I was able to gain a connection with an individual who works closely with project managers at their company and was able to gain insight on how their job as a financial officer connects with project managers. Along with this, I was able to interact with various different Independent Study and Mentorship students from Frisco ISD. Gaining knowledge on the various different topics of study students are doing and how a few topics relates to mine as project-client management. This ISM event marked the end to my short yet busy week and was finally able to reflect on the activities I did that week and how this event could further help me when I began researching potential mentors and conducting interviews.
As the new week begins, I hope to used the information and experience I had gain from the professional symposium to my research in ISM. With this, as we began looking for potential mentors and individual's to conduct interviews with I aim to use my how my experience was at the symposium while researching and conducting interviews with potential mentors and individual's of my field of study.
